Teaching
The techniques Daisy-Mae uses for her interactive lessons include the teachings and influences of Lev Vygotsky, Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Cooperative Learning, Tribes Techniques, as well as videos, guest speakers, and field trips when applicable. As a teacher, or facilitator, Daisy believes it is her job to make the material come alive.
While a teacher cannot always please everyone, Daisy feels it is her job to reach as many students as possible. She regularly adapts to the learning styles and needs of the students. She frequently engages in self-reflection and seeks constructive feedback.
By no means does her journey end there. Every day is a new learning experience and challenge for Daisy and her students. She says "what WE put into it, is what WE get out of it."
